Several websites like Streamate or camcontacts have two chat modes: private chat session where you can chat with the cammodel keeping in mind that other people can enter the chat and exclusive chat session where nobody else can enter the chatroom.
The streamate incident
On Streamate, we spotted a cammodel who wanted us to pat for an exclusive chat session to be able to activate the cam2cam. It means that we entered the private regular chat session of Streamate, we activated our cam and she refused the cam2cam request. We didn't know this feature was available on the model side on streamate. Then, she asked us to go in exclusive mode for a cam2cam. The exclusive chat session was outrageously expensive: 6.48 euros per minute. We left the chat. Hopefully, this behaviour is really rare on Streamate. When it happens, leave immediately and leave a keyword on the profile of the lady for everyone to understand that she is greedy.
The camcontact incident:
We face a similar issue on camcontact. We started to chat and the lady asked us to go in one2one (exclusive) mode. However, we just started to talk and this time it was a text chat session. She wanted us to pay 2.40 dollars per minute for a text chat session. No thank you.
Conclusion:
The choice of cammodels on camcontact and streamate is wide. Don't let bad cammodels poison your user experience. Don't focus on bad cammodels even if they look good. If this happens to you, leave the chatroom immediately. You will find plenty of alternatives on camcontacts and streamate. Take the time to look for it.
You are charged by the minute on streamate and camcontact. So, the financial damage will always be limited. The issue can be more problematic on Stripchat because this website allows cammodel to force customers to pay for a certain number of minutes in advance. So, for instance, a woman can ask you to pay 10 minutes in advance at 60 tokens totaling 600 tokens as soon as you press the private button.
Why Livejasmin or Imlive models don't refuse cam2cam:
Livejasmin requires the guest to tick a box or click on an icon to activate the two-way audio chat or the cam2cam chat session. Most of the time, this is a paid feature and the guest pay an additional credit per minute to access these features. Nevertheless, this only means that when the two-way audio chat or the cam2cam feature is activated, the model must audio chat or accept the cam2cam since the guest pays for it.
On Imlive, there is only one private chat mode. If a guest wants a cam2cam, the model can't refuse it. Once again, the audio chat only mode and the cam2cam mode are "embedded" in the user interface. Anyways, there is no exclusive mode on Imlive. It limits the potential bad behaviors of bad cammodels.
Sometimes, cammodels want to see their interlocutor during a private chat session. They ask the guest to turn on his webcam. I think it is a misplaced inquiry. It is inappropriate to ask . The visitor is billed by the minute for the said private webcam chat session. Consequently, the cammodel is a service provider. She should not ask the visitor to show his face on webcam. We aren't in a relationship where both parties are equal here. It is not a skype chat with a dear friend who wants to see you.
Once I entered a chatroom, and the cammodel asked me to turn on my webcam right away after I asked her several questions. I think it was the most unacceptable situation. I paid for the chat and she wanted to impose her rules upon me. This didn't make sense at all. I left the chat session right away. I am flexible though. I do understand why a woman wants to see you after a 30-minute chat session or several chat sessions.
If you are concerned about your anonymity and your privacy, i can tell you that all cammodel websites prohibit cammodels to record video, audio and text messages of customers. On the other hand, if you chat with a cam model on skype be cautious because no terms of service prevent a cammodel from recording you. I think that cammodels don't record the video of visitors. It would take too much storage. Nevertheless, they could take a screenshot of you.

In 100% of cases, cammodels who asked me for a gift didn't deserve it. Usually, the laziest women ask for a gift.
These women take advantage of loyal men who keep their word. In fact, during the chat session, these manipulative women choose the best moment to ask you for money. You may say yes right away but then, think about what I just said. I think these greedy women abuse the kindness of men.
When this happens, and if the website allows it, leave a review to warn other users and tell them that she is greedy.
